    In Woburn - the family lived in Speedwell Cottages which are part of Speedwell Farm. At the time of the 1851 census a Henry Atterbury leased Speedwell Farm from the Duke of Bedford - He was farming 559 Acres and employed 24 men and 9 Boys. On a recent visit to Woburn we went an had a look where the cottages were only 2 or 3 remain but the people there told me that there used to be another lot of houses on the top side of the farmhouse and originally these houses held the workers for Woburn Abbey Estate.
