Died	Obituary 'April 5, 2011 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.Howard is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Wealthia K.Featherston; daughter, Ellen Featherston; grandchildren, Jessica K.Sanderson, and Amanda M. Fejes; great-grandchildren, Jeffory J. Fejes,Brittany E. Jones, Elijeh W. Jones, and Gage N. Jones of Noblesville,IN. Additional survivors are his nephew, Norman E. Featherston; cousinBeatrice Hansen. A silver-star recipient, Colonel Featherston spent 30years in the U.S. Army and retired with honors at Ft. Sheridan, Ill. Thefollowing 12 years, he served as the budget director for NortheasternIllinois University in Chicago, Ill., and upon retirement moved back tohis home state of Indiana to enjoy time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Howard was also a member of Second Presbyterian Church,where he and his wife were very active. Services entrusted to ShirleyBrothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel.'
