      Whitehall, April 7, 1858. The Queen has been pleased to give and grant unto Charles Fetherston, of Max Stoke Castle, in the parish of Max Stoke, in the county of Warwick, Gentleman, second son of John Fetherston (heretofore Dilke), of Packwood House, in the county of Warwick, Esquire, by Frances Mary, his wife, and grandson of the Reverend John Dilke, Rector of Packington, and Vicar of Polesworth, both in the county of Warwick, Her royal licence and authority that he and his issue may, from respect to the memory of Thomas Dilke, of Max Stoke Castle aforesaid, Esquire, late a Captain in the Royal Navy, deceased, as well as in compliance with a direction and injunction contained in his last will and testament, take and use the surname of Dilke, in addition to and after that of Fetherston, and also bear the arms of Dilke quarterly with those of Fetherston, such arms being first duly exemplified according to the laws of arms, and recorded in the Herald's Office .; otherwise the said royal licence and permission to be void and of none effect: And also to command that the said royal concession and declaration be registered in Her Majesty's College of Arms
