    1. [S75] Sally Mason, Sally Mason, (-2010), Hi Paul

Marriage date is 13th March 1854, at St. Nicholas Church, Brighton, Sussex. Her father's name is William Bignell, but unfortunately his occupation is undecipherable. 1851 Census gives his occupation as Hair Dresser, but I cannot make that out on the Marriage Cert. Sarah is 21 years old and William Henry is 28 years. His occupation is a Brass Finisher, and Sarah's address is 41 Richmond Buildings, Brighton. The ceremony was after Banns, and the witnesses are Thos. and Frances Cole. Neither signed the certificate themselves. (Just had a brainwave and looked at 1861 census, where his occupation is given as an Upholsterer, and I can now see that on the certificate, this is his occupation.)

William Henry Featherstone was the brother of my great great grandmother Sarah Rebecca Featherstone. who married John Billings in Brighton and then spent the rest of her life on the Isle of Wight.
