	William John Peacock Featherstone Marriage: Austin Wheeler Smith wrote the following: 'Virginia Featherston, [sister of Sophia], was engaged to Mr. Peacock but died before the marriage. He then married Sophia E.,and after her death in 1840 married Catherine, another sister, the youngest of the four. Mr. Peacock was a planter and trader of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, where he spent his entire life. In religion he was a Methodist and in politics, a democrat. Fraternally, he was a 32d degree Mason. He was an unusually handsome man and one who commanded the respect of all who knew him. His wives were equally as prominent as he.'
