ROBERT FEATHERSTON ACKERMAN, 81, of Memphis, physician, died of heart failure Sunday at his home. Memorial mass will be said Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Communion. Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown has charge. Dr. Ackerman, the husband of Mary Reviere Ackerman, also leaves a daughter, Ruth Ackerman Henderson of Memphis; three sons, David White Ackerman and Robert Featherston Ackerman Jr., both of Memphis, and Todd McClung Ackerman of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; three stepdaughters, Sally U. Wade of Memphis and Melanie U. Gilliland and Kathryn L. Martin, both of Mt. Pleasant, Miss.; a stepson, Danny Utley of Dallas, and eight grandchildren.
