Thomas Gasson Batchelor of this Parish and Amelia Featherstone of the same spinster were Married in this Church by Banns this 14th Day of Octr 1802
Both made their mark in the presence of John Bennett who signed and Hariet West who made her mark.
I still don’t know where she came from! We know neither she or her husband could write. Often the surname is transcribed Gapson. She is named Emily at the baptism of her first son, but that doesn’t help.
